Tie between Boc and Buckethead for me. I'll go with BOC because I enjoy more of their albums compared to Buckethead

I'm nostalgic for Queen, the very first band I ever loved and definitely my gateway to full-blown prog (I really don't listen to them much anymore, though, but I'd never consider getting rid of their albums), I hugely admire so many of the works of Vangelis (I would be hard-pressed to say that I love all of them, but every one of his Seventies albums were completely fascinating), and Iron Maiden are great.

But absolutely Black Sabbath gets my vote for that faultness run of great albums with all the Seventies Ozzy-led ones - yes, including `Technical Ecstasy' and `Never Say Die'! - plus they also had a couple of good Dio-fronted ones and cool moments scattered here and there after that.

David Bowie, mainly for Low and Heroes. 80's Metallica, 70's Black Sabbath, and Talking Heads are all fine groups as well. Most of the rest are enjoyable but unremarkable.

Steve Vai, but I'm not even sure why he's just "prog-related". He's full-blown prog to my ears. Rainbow, Sabbath, and Wishbone Ash all have great albums, too.

Vangelis would come second for me. I've noticed that I generally prefer artist names to band names in Prog Related: For example, aside from those listed: Terry Riley, Gerard Manset and John Cale for his terrific collaboration with Terry Riley, Church of Anthrax. I also like Jarre for Equinox and Oxygene a lot. Those that I have most wanted to see added to PR generally aslo have have been artist rather than band names.

LED ZEPPELIN, IRON MAIDEN and BLACK SABBATH are my clear top three, it's not close. Went with MAIDEN because they had no vote.

Yes..I'd go with Zep, Wishbone , and then Sabbath/ BOC.........never really thought much of Maiden.
IMHO Bowie is of those overrated artists that's either hit or miss in his songs.
