Keywords for this poll is that many of these bands utilize many factors which they all in some way shares. they combine the musicstyles found in 60s and 70s in an amalgam sound. the elements is folk rock , psych, glam, baroque pop, funk, disco, rnb, hard rock, heavy metal and prog. they also utelize elements from other art forms, like stage, costumes, drama, poetry, etc.

Part 2, the serious edition

I'm torn between Roxy Music, Steely Dan and Split Enz.

I'm considering voting for Supertramp in considerable part because of how much I like "Try Again" off the group's debut album, but I like a lot of Supertramp's music. "Fool's Overture" was a particular favourite, and has a sentimental attachment as I grew up hearing part of it on a Canadian news magazine television show called W5 that my parents regularly watched). Also, Breakfast in America and Crime of the Century are two albums that were in my brother's collection that I have fond memories of listening to while young. He also introduced me to Split Enz (split from New Zealand), and True Colours was the first album I ever listened to on a Walkman and skied with while using a Walkman. I think I prefer their earlier albums now.

Or maybe I'll vote for ELO (also a band my brother introduced me to at the same time as Supertramp). Not sure.
Just a fanboy passin' through.
