It's in no particular order.

You may not like my choices of music, but that's what you're working with. Feel free to mention other music, but please only if you also can say something about my choices and show a preference for the tracks I have listed. Sorry, it's just a peeve of mine when people just go "other".   I'm happy to learn about other music, but not when no interest is shown in my choices which are made due to my preference and knowledge and sometimes cause I just don;t think of another and can't be bothered to put enough thought into the selection process.

I struggled in some of these to decide which track to choose, especially with Bowie, but I went for a more off-beat one from him instead of, say, perennial faves of mine and others such as Life on Mars, Starman, Ashes to Ashes, Pretty Things, Ziggy Stardust, or Aladdin Sane and so on. Heck, I could include Criminal World too (I mention because various people don't like the album Just Dance).

	Not surprisingly since I chose them, I could easily vote for most any of them at different times, but right now I'm in a "Desert of Ice" mood due to all the talk of climate change and greenhouse gas warming. The highly flatulent shri camels, now thankfully extinct, were used by ancient tribes-peoples to clear deserts of glaciers which were remnants of the last great ice age. The camels' methane blasts created a localized greenhouse effect, and the noxious fumes gave people visions, which gave rise to all sorts of superstitious beliefs, texts, and traditions (some of which seem to be misremembered). "It is easier for a shri camel's fart to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of god."

	I'm a tad surprised that only two people have posted as I thought there would have been more interest in this music. I won't delete it as I think that might be dishonest, but apologies that my Shri Camel (the Riley album that contains "Desert of Ice") flatulence joke was in poor taste.

	I must listen to Church of Anthrax again.. I loved it but haven't heard it for some years! Syd barrett is also a big favourite of mine!

	Several of those are very interesting but in the end went with Vangelis....who I have underestimated in the past....that piece from The Dragon was very nice.

	I was hoping that you would like that one. The Dragon, and the more experimental-sounding Hypothesis, are oddities in Vangelis' discography, and were released without his consent, and he basically has called the albums bad. The sessions were recorded in 1971, but not released until 1978 to "cash in on his popularity". His solo debut in 1971 also sounds different to the "new age" kind of stuff he later became famous for, and has links to his work in Aphrodite's Child. I think The Dragon is a much better release than Vangelis has said, and I like its ethnic, jazzy and Krautrock qualities (worth listening to all three tracks of it on youtube -- I did a topic on the album recently, a few topics down in this forum, but it's obviously not a very popular/ known album). http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=112201

	Nice job, Logan! I'd never heard any of these (or at least recall none of them). Voted Mansard over Cale & Riley over Riley over Vangelis. (Not a Barrett fan--his music is nothing and I am deaf to lyrics.) Great stuff, though! Thanks!
