Are you sure it doesn't save you time to actually write the full album title instead?

3. Gentle Giant
4. Octopus

5. Interview
6. The Power And The Glory
7. In A Glass House
8. Free Hand

9. The Missing Piece

11. Giant For A Day

I'm sorry if that hurts your feelings. In my opinion, when it comes to such extra legends as Gentle Giant, album names are pretty well-known.

^stop hurting my feelings! Cry

I thought some of those abbreviations was rather advanced so I would have spent more time coming up with them than writing the actual titles. But then again I'm not english, I even had to use Google Translate to find that abbreviation-word - hope I'm using it correctly. Anyway GGDA? I didn't get that it was Gentle Giant debut album until it was the only left.

Yeah, sorry, I acted too pretentious. I've realized that GGDA was a wrong thing only after the post was published...

In a Glass House
Free Hand
Acquiring the Taste
The Power and the Glory
Octopus
Interview
Gentle Giant
Three Friends
Civilian
The Missing Piece
Giant for a Day

Gentle Giant's one of my favorite bands, and the only one I don't like much out of these is Giant for a Day. Even that album though is better than the weaker albums of most prog bands.

By the way, English is not my native language, either!
No, your comment was very sane and rational. I understand that making abbreviations like these is not very... respectful. Not every visitor is a big fan of Gentle Giant.

Thank you for your reply! You were right. I'm sorry.

I haven't heard much of their later stuff, so I'll just keep it to Gentle Giant albums that I do know.
  1. Gentle Giant
  2. Acquiring The Taste
  3. Octopus
  4. Three Friends
  5. In A Glass House
  6. Free Hand
  7. The Power And The Glory
  8. ...
  9. Giant For A Day
The band really dropped off a lot after Phil left, as far as I'm concerned. After that point they seemed to replace their soulful approach with complexity for complexity's sake.
when i was a kid a doller was worth ten dollers - now a doller couldnt even buy you fifty cents

Power and the glory-9/10
Freehand-8.5/10
Three friends-8.5/10
In a glass house-8/10
Acquiring the taste-8/10
Civilian-8/10
Interview-7.5/10
Missing piece-7.5/10
Gentle giant-7/10
Octopus-7/10
Giant for a day-6/10

Clearly better than Crimson :)

All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock.

You and the next guy are much too kind to The Power and the Glory. Oh, so overrated.
