[QUOTE=Saperlipopette!]Are you sure it doesn't save you time to actually write the full album title instead?

Thumbs Up

IMHO:
1. Gentle Giant
2. Acquiring the Taste
3. Octopus
4. Three Friends

These are not so important, so the order is something like...

5. The Missing Piece
6. The Power And The Glory
7. In a Glass House
8. Free Hand

The least important are...

9. Interwiew
10. Civillan
11. Giant for a Day
You may see a smile on Tony Banks´ face but that´s unlikely.

It's the brother/sister of Free Hand.
I love them both, but Interview slightly less.

Interview boasts some nice rocking tracks, and the weird funkreggae of Give It Back is just so awesome,
Empty City is just beautiful.
The only song on Interview I don't really care for is Design, although it's wonderfully crafted, it's too chaotic, I guess.

Free Hand is the best album ever made.

Only rivalled by Snow Goose, Thick as a Brick, Once Again and Seventh Sojourn.

But Interview is like a continuation of Free Hand. Exactly the kind of music I like.

1970-1973 is my favorite GG period.
I also like Civilian. I rate it higher than both Interview and Giant for a Day. Maybe even Missing Piece.

Civilian is a seriously underrated album.

It rocks very good. It's something of a rock/new wave album wich knows no rival.
But almost nobody on earth knows it exists.

I like when some overly progressive bands trimmed their sounds (Rush, Gentle Giant, Caravan, King Crimson).
Another great album from that day and age is Drama by Yes.

I’ve owned Civilian for around 20 years, and just noticed how cleverly they’ve blended the album title within the ‘Gentle Giant’ title on the cover !!!
