Of all the polls Ive made for this mini series of tangerine dream album duels, this is the hardest vote for me. I absolutely adore both of these albums. From start to finish, each of these albums tell an intriguing and wonderful story. After much thought, I must choose Ricochet. To me, the heavier, more rock oriented sound of the band on Ricochet is just that much more satisfying than the sound on Stratosfear, not to discredit that album by any stretch of the imagination.

Ok turns out I messed up and put Ricochet as the title. Is there any way to fix this or shall I remake the poll?

You could edit your poll questions (and poll question), but you'll still be left with three choice. I'd replace "neither are good" with an album.

For those that they think both are equally good or bad they would still have the third option. For other choices, people could always mention it in a post.

If you really want those choices you can make a new one and I'll lock this.

Thank you, I was able to fix it!

I voted Ricochet. However, I do consider Stratosfear among my top three favorite TD albums.

^^^No problem, Scorpius. I was tempted to vote for both equally good as there are times when I could go for either, but I do choose Ricochet. It's an excellent album.

I like Stratosfear a lot, but Ricochet is my favourite TD album.

Ricochet is good, Stratosfear is listenable, both pale in comparison to the earlier albums

Stratosfear isn't bad, but one can feel the "normalisation" of TD's music at this period of their career. Ricochet is more... hypnotic and more interesting, even if it suffers from the comparison with the previous albums (ah, Phaedra...!)

Ricochet once was one of my top 10 albums but I listened to it too often and fell out of love with it. I was more skeptical about Stratosfear from the start and so never overdid it and still like it.

I have come to appreciate the more "commercial" and melodic sounding Stratosfear over time, but I have always loved Ricochet. TD live during the 70s is damn near unbeatable to these ears - the recent official bootleg box set series very brilliantly proves that. Oh my word...vol 1 currently ranks as my fave TD release ever.

Stratostear always seemed higher rated than it deserved to be.
