For me, Yezda Urfa is better.
Just in case, by Island I mean the band from Switzerland, of Pictures fame.Smile

Two great obscurities! Clap

I'll have to go for Yezda Urfa, though; Boris is a fantastic record from start to finish, whereas I find Pictures tends to get quite bogged down in its intricacies.

Not fair! Two of my favorite albums. I guess i'll go for Island just because it's sooooooo over the top

Backwards vocals is one thing, but how much more over the top can you get than putting Texas Armadillo on a prog album? And pulling it off, at that! LOL

^ it's a virtual tie really. I love Islands because i can listen to it repeatedly and never remember a thing about it so it's like a gift that keeps on giving. Yezda Ufra is playful complexity that has a few hooks here and there. Like i said, this isn't a fair pair of albums to choose from. It's like deciding which lung you love better Tongue

YU
Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive
Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.

Yezda Urfa is OK by me, but Island is aces. Not sure if YU ever really transcended their influences, where Pictures is something quite unique, and ever so twisted. Love it.

I'm a fan of both, but this was still an easy vote for Island.

This is very much how I feel as well.
