Topic: Which of 5 Show Must-s do you prefer? Posted: January 11 2017 at 14:15 |
Nirvana's version is my favourite instrumental. Queen's one is an obvious all-time hit. Leo Sayer's was heard by me recently - pretty great. The rest two are nothing special, to me. How's it all to your ears?

Considering the realities Freddie was facing when Brian wrote it and incredible fortitude and courage it took to sing, gotta be the Queen.

I love Pink Floyd and all, more than Queen easily (and I do like Queen), but how can (so far) both songs be tied? The Floyd one is just a short almost filler track (even though I actually like it), while Queen's is just magnificent... not even in the same league. Unfortunatley, I don't know the other options.

The great Queen number. The Floyd one is an opera function, a prelude.
But I'd love to see Leo "You make me feel like proggin'" Sayer win the poll. That would be quite funny.

definitely the Three Dog Night version, which I think was written by Leo Sayer. It was a big hit for Three Dog Night in 1974. They were masters at performing other peoples' material, while often hiding the credits on the record itself rather than on the sleeve. I guess that means they didn't wear their influences on their sleeve
