Yeah, a lucky one for Ricciardo, but he's had a lot of bad luck last year, so it's karma. Alonso actually finishing most have felt like climbing Mt. Everest, and now I can stop saying "Where did they find this Stoll guy? Another wealthy turkey?" LOL

Bottas!
By this point,  I feel safe in saying Seb has the upper hand.

Wow! Helio! How many years has it been since that guy has won? Maybe this will finally be the year he wins a titleLOL
Hildebrand and RHR round out an interesting podium.

It's been over three years since Helio last won, and he's only 8 points out of first.  He needs to string together some strong runs and hope Dixon has some bad luck.

I mean this is Indy...there's always like 10 people that are technically in a realistic chance of the title ha
Helio IS very consistent, one of the most it seems but the dude just never wins. If he could manage a few a year I have to wonder if things may be different.... I do hope he can pull it off, what a story it'd be if finally gets a title and whatever age he is.

Glad Bottas won.   Vettel cannot stop winging,  he's now blaming Bottas for a false start,  even though the FIA has proved otherwise.

The tyres moved before the lights went out, but it was supposedly "within limits".

^My eyesight is atrocious, so I really couldn't tell from the replays. But the FIA is pretty sharp, so that surprises me.

My wildcard pick of the Championship? Bottas taking the title after Vettel crashes into Hamilton claiming that Hamilton provoked his ire by throwing a gum wrapper out of his car during SC car laps in the very last race of the championship.

My personal opinion is that Vettel is not good under pressure.  Hamilton has 4 of his strongest races other then the British Grand still to come, which he generally dominates at...  Bottas is doing a remarkable job!...  Another contract will soon be written for the Fin!...Smile

I've held off on posting about this, largely because I still can't believe it's possible but have changed my mind thanks to the gathering momentum, but Renault are seriously considering signing Robert Kubica for next year replacing Palmer. He's had two tests recently in the 2012 Lotus (incidentally the exact same chassis that Raikkonen drove to victory in Abu Dhabi) around Valencia and Paul Ricard and has impressed the team with both his speed and consistency. The biggest remaining question is how he would do in a current generation car and so are considering putting him in for the test after the Hungarian GP in two weeks.

Considering that six years ago his right hand was vertually severed I never thought he'd get back behind the wheel of an F1 car, let alone have the chance to race one again.

^Six years ago is a lifetime in the current world of F1 these days, but I always felt that Kubica never had a chance to show what he could do. I understand that losing Palmer is a blow for British F1 fans, especially after losing Button to retirement (?), but F1 is a strange game these days.

Not that much of a blow. I like Palmer, and he has had the lions share of reliability problems at Renault, but he's been absolutely nowhere this year. Besides, we've got a very strong crop of drivers on the up in Callum Ilott, Lando Norris and George Russell that should reach F1 in a few years.
