I understand Annie leading but couldn't definitely not vote for the one and only Sandy (btw I like Renate too) It's really unfortunate the lady was not approved for inclusion on the DB

I absolutely adore Sandy Denny's Milk and Honey, but haven't felt that she quite made the PA grade. Great artist anyway.

Can't stand Annie Haslam so went with Jaqui because I love her on Renbourne's Waterloo, though 1 song does not make a "Prog Goddess". My write in vote would definitely go for Gilli Smyth. Completely unique and irreplaceable.

My vote would go to Annie Haslam, but I concur with several here -- that Kate Bush reigns supreme.
I love Jane Relf's singing (Illusion) as well, and also Maggie Reilly's vocals with Mike Oldfield.

Sorry to disagree. Never really got Miss Bush. A little too precious, I'm afraid.

Annie for me. Vocally she was perfect for the music of renaissance, and somehow she gets to me every time .

Out of the 4, I've only seen Sonja and Jacqui live, but Sonja had breathtaking stage presence and she gets my vote. Besides, I identify Sandy more with folk-rock. I don't think she would have considered herself prog. Don't think Jacqui would consider herself prog, either, despite Pentangle's jazz influences.
