Listen to their last few before voting, please, cos I know many of you will vote for the first two albums, but IMHO, they got proggier with each new album (except for the reformation album)

Shady Gove is a very important album, because they opened up to something else than guitars and therefore widened their horizons... fantastic Edward The Shirt Grinder.

Yes SG, JFL, WAM are all very good, but I went for Comin' Thru, because the band had almost become a brass-rock band by then... Even then,  they kept on, Duncan picking up the empty space left by Cipo. If every band could end their career with such a great album, the overall RnR legacy might be better. Hard to believe the band was on its last leg as critics and historians would have you believe . I'd say the previous Quicksilver (Eagle on the cover) is their weakest, though

The great thing is that they had an obvious hit in every album: Fresh Air for JFL, What About Me in the same-titled album, I Found Love in Quicksilver, Doing Time In The USA in Comin' Thru and Gypsy Lights for Solid Silver


This band also features one of the very best series of artwork, rivalling with Floyd and Yes, though they used four different artistes for their first seven albums.

..............I once had an LP of a 1989 release which was crap. And not too familiar with the 'rekindled' Quicksilver projects Duncan embarked on since, bar some stuff I streamed, which sounded promising.
Dino's solo LP is beautiful. He must've been so stoned and mellow

Could never get into Champlin Bros, though.

i though this was spam fornthr clothing brand

Second side of the first album.....brilliant.  

Seeing Cipollina live in a North Beach nightclub was one of the great guitar experiences one could have in this town.   We had Carlos and Jerry and Joe, but John was something special.
