This is tough, my two favorite Yes albums after Drama.

I'm going to have to go with Fragile.

Fragile has higher peaks (namely Heart of the Sunrise), but The Yes Album is so consistently fantastic. I actually prefer it to Close To The Edge

Fragile. That wasn't so hard. Not even close for me.

Fragile, but the Yes Album is also five stars.

Two amazing records. Heart of the Sunrise is the best song of the bunch, but I think I prefer The Yes Album as a whole.
Two random guys agreed to shake hands. Just Because. They felt like it, you know. It was an agreement of sorts...a random agreement.

Fragile has Heart of the sunrise and South side of the sky - two of their best songs, but also has a slightly 'out take' feel in places. The Yes album has a better flow....and has Starship Trooper...

I just don't know.. Too close to call.
Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

Fragile, but this one is rather tough. My second and third favourite Yes albums.

Interesting poll, I think I pick the Yes Album because; while Fragile has "South side of the sky" and "Heart of the sunrise", the Yes album has "Yours is no disgrace", Clap, "Starship trooper", "I've seen all good people" and "perpetual change". I surprisingly like The Yes Album more....  ShockedShockedPinch

The Yes Album. Fragile is a real curate's egg. The solo stuff is generally dreadful, the group tracks generally good.

Both great albums, but I'll vote for Fragile, for very personal reasons.

Both absolute classics...
I go with The Yes Album.

Fragile was the first Yes album I heard and therefore will always have that special place in my heart.

I chose Fragile because I like the fact that there's so many different ideas on it. Also, the shorter tracks seem to fit in better and make the whole thing seem more cohesive.

I know, I know - Wakeman isn't on one of them, but The Yes Album is textbook Yes. Almost definitive.
