When BJH were dropped from the Harvest-label, Polydor took them in, and they stayed with Polydor for the remainder of their career.

Woolly (the singer/keyboardist) stayed until XII with the band and went solo afterwards. Most agree that's when the Original BJH-story kinda ended. Well at least after that they went fully softpop (like the BeeGees) with only a few hints to the rich symphonic past.

These are the 5 Polydor-albums recorded with Wooly still in the band. Rich wit mellotron but also his beautiful symphonic compositions.

The live-albums is whole different story. Let's focus on the studio-albums here. I voted for my all-time favorite Octoberon.

They're all very good, but EIEE is just their peak.

But the versions of the songs on BJH Live are just better. That is one of the greatest live albums ever.
A TVR is not a car. It's a way of life.

The first album I got from BJH was Octoberon, so my vote goes to it, since it blew my mind away, but all are excellent.

Octoberon, just ahead of EIEE
I actually would rank XII right after these, one of their most underrated albums
Gone to Earth and Time Honoured Ghosts are both very good
In short, this period was the peak for the band even though the Harvest era had some enduring classics.  The Harvest albums were mostly just not very consistent, with the exception of Once Again
