I voted for Live, which is maybe the best live album ever by any band.

Live, definitely.

I'd rate it up there with Camel - Live, Renaissance - Live at Carnegie Hall, Wolfstone - Not Enough Shouting, Runrig - Once in a Lifetime and Riverside - Reality Dream and IQ - Stage (as DVDs). Those are, along with BJH Live, head and shoulders the best live albums I've heard.

ah yes, Runrig's "Once in a Lifetime".  It's an album that shows up on a number of "best live album ever" lists, and with good reason.

I went with Live, although I like Live Tapes a lot too, and is almost essential because of superb versions of several songs that did not appear on Live - "Child of the Universe", "Rock n Roll Star", "Poor Man's Moody Blues", and "One Night" in particular.  But it was Live that featured the late great Wooly Wolstenholme introduced as being "on mellotron".  Not keyboards, not piano and leootron, but just plain mellotron. That says it all.  Even the planet mellotron web site which rates BJH studio albums tepidly, gives a glowing review to Live

Wich of these live albums is your favorite of BJH?

4 of them feature Woolly Wolstenholme, and three of them don't.
Most of them are extensive double lp's or cd's except for Berlin wich is a single LP and the 25th Anniversary Concert wich is a single cd. Two rather short live albums.

Glasnost is also a single LP and single CD. But the CD contains 12 songs and the LP only 10
Berlin (the Original LP) contains 9 songs and the remaster 11 songs (Original concert run).

The BBC live in 1972 album is released in both Mono and Stereo with different songrunning, but the same songs nevertheless.

On the BBC Radio broadcasts, the first cd is almost the same as Live (1974). The second cd is more interesting, containing mosly rare live versions.

Glasnost is almost like a hardrock album, containing almost only newer (heavier) songs.

Live Tapes was remastered and rereleased with three new songs (Medicine Man, World Goes On and Hymn to the Children), making it longer and more interesting.
Live Tapes is like most late 70's live albums, a compilation of live songs and not a full concert, while all other BJH live albums are full concerts.

I voted for Live, wich is maybe the best live album ever by any band.
