Truthfully no. It's the same old Trump's out of control lunacy.

yeah everything seems like changing at the speed of light...... three Trump-years are like changing the whole universe........
The overwhelming amount of information on a daily basis restrains people from rewinding the news record archives to refresh their memories...

Nope just the usual:
Trump gave a $300 million contract to a tiny utility company in PR that just so happens to be linked to a Trump donor. http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/dollar300m-puerto-rico-recovery-contract-awarded-to-tiny-utility-company-linked-to-major-trump-donor/ar-AAtYMQY?li=BBnb7Kz
Good thing we didn't choose corrupt Hillary with her all her scuzzy intl money ties!

It's been reported that Trump actually DOES have a plan to help the coal industry: just pay em to exist. Woo!!! Government life support! Good thing we got rid of those big gov, wasteful spending Democrats!

And yet another of the endangered sane, reasonable, good human being Republicans has announced their retirement. Jeff Flake of AZ will not run in 2018, leaving his seat open to the Democrats, or a Trumper.
Sad to see him go, but am a little peeved he's just giving up, like at least put up a fight and if ya lose ya lose.
Guess he wants out quick as possible so he can get a high paying private sector jobSmile

Well huge news today.
Paul Manafort has been charged with, among numerous other counts, conspiracy against the US
Just so that can register. The campaign manager of one of our Presidential candidates, the one who won, has been charged with f**king conspiracy against the US.

In addition, a Trump aid has also surrendered on charges of lying to the FBI, seems he WAS trying to set up a meeting with Trump and Russian officials.
Oops!

The Trump campaign has doubled down, actually reaching into the attack Hillary playbook while Paul Ryan's comment was "this will not derail the tax cuts"
Wonderful! There's our party of integrity and love for America!

Anyway, news is kind of huge. It's also turned out Manafort seems to have been a lot of debt to Russian interests, based off a bank account of his in Cyprus, so yeah....between that, all the Russian links in his admin, his soft stance on em and actions from his family, there's a helluva lot of smoke for there to be no fire. And if Trump himself was truly unaware of all this, he's so dumb and incompetent he doesn't deserve to be PotUS anyway.

Quite the scalps today for Mueller. Check out some analysis of Papadopoulos's case and what both that and the two new indictments might mean for the investigation - Mueller is running a tight ship, and the usual suspects in this saga are likely in deep sh*t.

Well, it may not be the President, or even Congress, BUT after the last 8 years we needed some f**kin hope so I'll take it

Big night for the Democrats.
VA held off Trumpism, not just voting bigly for Northam but making big gains in the state house. Including a staunch conservative being unseated by a transgender person, our first ever trans legislator :)
Dems take back the governor's office in NJ.
Maine voters give their governor the middle finger and vote to expand Medicaid
Washington is now under total Democratic control
NYC bigly re elects Bill de Blasio
Lots of local seats have flipped.

Hoping this will translate to 2018

Paraphrasing some stuff from a Dutch newspaper; Republican Senate candidate guy Roy Moore gets accused of getting it on with a 14-year old back in 1979 and the evangelical voters say they don't care. Some related research shows that 72 percent of evangelicals now say they don't care if politicians show immoral behavior in their private lives, compared to 30 percent five years ago. And then there is a guy called Jim Zeigler from the Alabama Republicans apparently who compared the story to Joseph and Maria because Maria was also still a teenager when they got Jesus?? Is this correct?

As a former Catholic (and atheist, as most former Catholics are), one would think the whole point of the Mary and Joseph relationship story was not the age difference involved, but that Mary was a VIRGIN.

I can further posit that 2000 years ago, girls married at a much younger age -- that whole dying in child birth and not making it to 30 type of thing. It would seem that Alabama has not yet made it past the last vestiges of a semi-nomadic iron age society, at least not mentally and educationally.

On the second day of Christmas Bob Mueller gave to me, Manafort and Gates,

And Papadopolous pleading guilty.

On the third day of Christmas Bob Mueller gave me, Michael Flynn a'singing,

Manafort and Gates,

Is Mike Pence a prog rock fan?

From a Newsweek article:  He wasn’t a particularly stellar student and had a B average, according to The Atlantic. An evangelical Christian, he once attended a music festival billed as the Christian Woodstock and spent days “rocking out to Jesus-loving prog-rock bands and born-again Bob Dylan imitators.”

Maybe he is a Neal Morse fan?   I wonder which bands they are referring too?

True, but I believe you'd be even more correct if you delete the "oxy" prefix.

Bumping up this thread to post an interesting article that argues that the white working class may not in fact be voting against their own interests.

Oh wow, been away from here for so long and I see thread has basically died.
Yall need me!

Been busy with life and trying to be off the internet more, but since I'm back for a pop in guess we can discuss the state of things:

Still sh*t LOL

El Presidente is stocking his administration with more yes men, people bent on war with NK, resurrected f**king John Bolton, and the GOP continues to be hypocrites on "Fiscal Responsibility" to the shock of, well no one
