A real marmite band: some tracks are great but others just grate.
But Is This The Life is really great.

Plus one for "Big Ship" (fantastic!) and I would add "Foundling", which I find a wonderful finale to one of my favourite albums, and I'm always left wanting more. "Wireless" is another favourite of mine. From the list, maybe "Dirty Boy", which blew me away when I first heard it and got me to appreciate Cardiacs.
Instead of voting other, I'll give "Dirty Boy" a vote. Glorious.

^I left a lot out. Actually, Foundling is one of my most favorite tracks as well!

^ Glad to hear it. "Foundling" is a wonderful closer. It's one of the tracks that I love to repeat again and again, as it's quite short and I don't want the album to end. I get goosebumps from it. It's a bit OCD of me....

Yaay!! Some more appreciation of this band.. It took me YEARS to finally listen to them. With an open mind, you realize it's a whole new evolution of music. Love the circus-influence!!! Which is why On Land and In The Sea may be my favorite of theirs..
My favorite song is probably Baby Heart Dirt. Or Fast Robert with its mad chorus.
From the list, R.E.S. probably. Listening to Little Man I was convinced that this is one of the best bands ever. I think Little Man is the best introduction to the band, while now, I enjoy the album the least. I enjoy On Land, Songs for Ships, Sing to God more than ALMaAHAtWWW which I find so crazy. WHAT A BAND!!

Yes!! And the hardest to get into, I found. The songs are loaded with the MOST ideas of any Cardiacs album. Truly a marvel!
