Truly outrageous. 4th and 12 from midfield and you let them convert THAT into a TD for the win/falling out of the playoffs....wow.

Shame the bolts couldn't get in, but congrats to buffalo for ending their massive playoff drought.

The Lions fire Caldwell. Nice guy, but deer in the headlights coach.

Bengals win was wild, 4th and 12 TD against the rival Ravens.  As a Steeler bloke, glad the Chargers and Ravens did not make it as I believe they are stronger teams than the Bills and Titans.  Happy for the Bills that the long drought is over for a playoff appearance.

Raiders new coach rumors are John Gruden, his rumors come up every year though, we'll see...

Now with Caldwell gone, sounds like the Lions are going after Matt Patricia from the Pats.  I'll take it.  He's young and he's been in the Belichick for years.  Anything we can poach from them is a plus.

It will be another predictable outcome in the AFC with those damn Patriots. I just hope that this time they get beat up by an NFC team...

As for the giants, Gettleman is probably a predictable choice. I'm a little afraid of how bear he left some areas during his tenure with Carolina (most notably o-line) but he seems like a good 'knock-you-on-your-ass' styled GM that seems to be able to get good football players. Hopefully if nothing else he will get the gmen some goddamned linebackers.

I've read approx. 109287 requests to interview people for the open coach job, and I just hope it isn't Josh McDaniels in the end.

I am a little disappointed that they fired Caldwell.  I realize that they had playoff expectations this year, but it has been very rare in Lions' history to have a coach with a winning record.  Here's hoping that it is the right move and is what it takes to get them to the next level.  I'm not certain that a coach with no head coaching experience is the way to go, but that may just be because we just suffered through 4 years of the fans and media complaining that the Detroit Tigers shouldn't have hired Brad Ausmus.  (granted Patricia at least has coaching experience whereas Ausmus had just been a front office man, but also a catcher, who technically managed from the field).

I really wanted the Bills today after the Bills Mafia donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to Andy Dalton's charity this past week.  Really awesome story.

First off, RIP Keith Jackson, he was the best college football broadcast announcer.  Always remember the sayings, "Whoa Nelly" and many others.  His voice was like comfort food when you heard it.

On remaining playoffs, can't decide between Falcons and Eagles, I guess Eagles at home.
Patriots of course.
Steelers (hopefully they have revenge in mind from the earlier thumping from the Jags)
Vikings, Saints are a little banged up but I would not be surprised if they won.

Steelers get out coached again, 4th and less than 1 twice and you don't let Big Ben fall forward on QB sneak at least once!  Hideous on-side kick also.  Anyway, the D was bad and made Borttles look like Joe Montana, but congrats to Jags they have our number, maybe they can slug Brady in the mouth or in some sick way do I want to see the Pats in it again?!?!?

Anyway, the Miracle in Minnesota was nuts!  And Yes the QBs this upcoming weekend: Borttles, Foles, Keenum, and Brady...what a world indeed!

Yeah, the end of the Vikings/Saints game was nuts. After watching them claw back in it, I was pulling for the Saints but they couldn't close out what should have been a win.
That swing and miss by Marcus Williams was a true wtf moment. had he actually tackled the receiver, time would have likely run out and game over. And then watching them try to get everyone lined up for the PAT? What a weird finish.

I have nothing personal against the Steelers but I was glad to see some of their players shoot off their big mouths during the week about beating the Pats and then not be able to close the deal with the Jags. idiots LOL

^ Yes the Steelers have some prima donnas that do have diarrhea of the mouth quite a bit.  Tomlin runs a very loose locker room that can promote and allow that crap to happen (not a fan of Tomlin as a coach).  The got what they deserved, just shut up and play.  :)

Next Predictions:
Patriots over Jags
Vikings over Eagles (toss up)

I often wonder why more coaches don't take the Belichick approach to coaching. Yeah, he comes off as a supreme dick sometimes but you can't really argue with the results regardless of what you might feel personally about him. I'd love it if he were head coach of my team.
My team is the Raiders so of course, I'm not sure how well that approach would go over in a franchise that historically has had probably more misfits than any other franchise. LOL
