Of the choices offered, 1313 for sure. The only other 1977 albums I can immediately think of that would rival it are Steely Dan's Aja and Television's Marquee Moon.

From the list, Rain Dances ahead of Animals and Songs From The Wood.
But my all time favourite 1977 album is Fully Interlocking by Solution.

Of these ones I like Animals the best, but in general my prog favourites from 1977 are Anthony Phillips' The Geese and The Ghost, Brand X's Moroccan Roll, and Island's Pictures.
Album of the year for '77 was Skynyrd's Street Survivors, though.

A.N. Other (s): either Steely Dan's Aja, or the Stranglers' Rattus Norvegicus.

That year, in terms of the UK album charts, Yes were top dog, followed by Floyd, ELP and then Tull. Both Yes and ELP also unusually scored hit singles that year. To my mind, the group side of 'Works Vol. 1' is still one of the finest in the prog canon but clearly not enough for PA'ers.

One can only go for the one in this poll. Curiously enough, album this went out on the seventh month of that double seven year.

Two random guys agreed to shake hands. Just Because. They felt like it, you know. It was an agreement of sorts...a random agreement.

Forty years ago I'd only heard "Animals", but that's not the only reason it gets my vote. My sister went and saw Floyd live that year and brought home a programme, which I 'borrowed'
