I have always liked Time by ELO, so 21st Century Man got my vote.  After that, Captain Beefheart and then Kinks.

I idolize Scott Walker.  More for his later stuff starting with Climate of Hunter, all of which is resolutely progressive and experimental.  Tilt is transcendental.  I do like his earlier pop, and even the Walker Brothers.  His album of Jacques Brel interpretations is wonderful.  But the later albums are the best.  His soundtrack for Pola X was the only redeeming feature of a dreadful movie.  I'd gone to the NY Film Festival to see it because the director's earlier movies were great and I was crushingly disappointed in it.  At least I heard some new Scott Walker music.  Several people seated in the balcony near me were Scott fans rather than movie buffs and had come purely for his soundtrack because he isn't very prolific.  I have the 30th Century Man documentary on DVD.  Kudos to Triceratopsoil for including Walker!  As much as I love Schizoid Man, I might have voted for Scott anyway even if it was included.  THAT's how much I idolize Scott Walker.

Still the Can for me, even after 30 years or so that guitar noise has not lost its impact Heart.

It's really a draw between Can and Beefheart; voted for Beefheart this time as Can had one vote more and I wanted to use the opportunity to avoid the boring Can fanboy vote for once at least.

Love the Kinks track but went with Beefheart's 25th century Quaker...it;s so damn weird.
Interestingly the Can track reminded me of Beefheart at times.
I thought the ELO track was pretty lame and I have never understood Walker's trip.
One does nothing yet nothing is left undone.
