Hopefully General is in right place :)

Although i'm mostly a fan of prog and x-over prog...every now and then i have a craving for blues.

Are there some modern acts (2010s) in the classic styles of guitar shorty, muddy, willie dixon, robert johnson, buddy guy, the Kings.. that i've been missing out on?

I checked out a couple bands maybe a year ago (names escapes me) and they felt too polished(maybe, not sure correct term) for me, but i may not have given them full effort either.

Ideas?

modern acts?  pfff....

why do the poseurs when the masters who live the blues...are still chuggin.. or sadly were until recently..

now modern albums.  Hell yeah.. take these two from the last couple of years.  From the just passed James Cotton...Love them both...

I forget if Taj Mahal is still going or not, he was recently, but there is no polish there, he's the real deal.
