I've excluded live albums to make the list shorter, vote "Other" if one of them is your favourite. I may have forgotten one or two here and there, Frank's discography is tough to navigate through.
"Larks' tongues. Wrens' livers. Chaffinch brains. Jaguars' earlobes. Wolf nipple chips. Get 'em while they're hot. They're lovely. Dromedary pretzels, only half a denar."

I think Frank was still in the zone from the run of his late 70s records on YAWYI.  That's my pick.

Post '70s Zappa? Best studio was Civilization Phaze III. I also have to give a shout out to the live albums from the 1988 tour.

I'm not a bloody robot
Classical music isn't dead, it's more alive than it's ever been. It's just not on MTV.

L.S.O and Yellow Shark!

I wish "Mo's and Herb's Vacation" would be conducted by Esa-Pekka Salonen or Simon Rattle in a new recording, it'd do wonders for Zappa's classical work! Thumbs Up

Yes. It's a hard choice, since I love Zappa's music, but "Civilization Phaze III" takes my vote.

From the list, You are what you is is We're only in it for the money phase II, which is a great thing!  Thing-Fish is superb as well... off the list, I would go along with Civilization (although the voices grate).

Civilization for me. From that list, I'd say Ship (incredible side2) and Jazz from Hell
