My vote, Roxy Music - A Song for Europe...
He neither drank, smoked, nor rode a bicycle. Living frugally, saving his money, he died early, surrounded by greedy relatives. It was a great lesson to me -- John Barrymore

^ This + The Velvet Underground's "European Son".
"Larks' tongues. Wrens' livers. Chaffinch brains. Jaguars' earlobes. Wolf nipple chips. Get 'em while they're hot. They're lovely. Dromedary pretzels, only half a denar."

Santana

I have long considered Europa Santana's signature piece rather than any of the hits, including Black Magic Woman (a great song too).  It brings out the best of everything from both the band and the man himself.
The world of sound is certainly capable of infinite variety and, were our sense developed, of infinite extensions. -- George Santayana, "The Sense of Beauty"

I can't say I was inspired in the least by what happened yesterday. Actually, I was sickened by it. I don't think I've ever been so angry in my life - so much so that I rang up and made a donation to the Liberal Democrats.

For the poll, it's got to be Santana.

Right: back to throwing darts at pictures of Boris Johnson, Nigel Farage and Michael Gove.

I'd pick Japan-European Son..

But I will definitely be quite happy with Slapp Happy.  To this day I cannot explain why I love Slapp Happy so much, I just do.
