I actually imagined it would be lot quieter as an Onkyo record but it was basically EAI (as well) for the most part

Too, the quietness and silence in onkyo is meant to allow deep listening, but there's actually some onkyo that isn't abnormally quiet. Like this: oh damn, that's almost industrial you got more?

more onkyo, or more "less quiet" onkyo? Naoaki Miyamoto's Me No Tawamure (not on Youtube or Spotify) is droning bowed guitar feedback. And Toshimaru Nakamura's more recent albums even have noise parts, though some of them aren't very onkyo. I would check out Re-Verbed. It's probably my second favorite of his. I would also check out Arsts (on Spotify and bandcamp) which has some louder moments and involves onkyo guitarist Taku Sugimoto (and Keith Rowe is on it too), even though, simply by having three other non-onkyo members on it, it becomes non-onkyo.
