To me there is something magical about a brilliant vocal. How it strikes the atmosphere and how it infect the listener.

To me more then anyone goes the privelliged honour to a song by Alan Parson Project to one of their main vocalists' Colin Bluntstone and hes stellar vocals on " Old & Wise". Bringing in the magical emotiveness of bard culture and folklore. With a hymn like aura. I will call it a modern hymn with a vocal which is unique.

So "Old & Wise" by Alan Parson Project sung by Colin Bluntstone ia to me vocal preformance nr.1.

Whos yours

That would be something with Greg Lake. But to decide which is so tough, because he's got so many brilliant performances: Take a Pebble, (the beginning of) Trilogy, Tarkus: Stones of Years and Battlefield, Promenade... Really don't know which one, but his voice really does something incredible to the music.

To my senses there's nothing more intense than Sandy's voice (Led Zep also thought so, I'm in good company)
Here's a strong example (she has so, so many !!!)
