Proposing TIME SPINNERS for the Psychedelic/Space-Rock tag?
Time Spinners is an ongoing revolving-door project, with the mainstay being prog-electronic/ambient/experimental artist Jack Hertz, currently listed on the Archives under Progressive-Electronic, who plays synths and percussion and collaborates with other artists here. The easiest comparison for the two albums to date would be the Oresund Space Collective, although not as obviously lead guitar solo heavy as they can be. The first album, a self-titled work from 2015, had Jack pairing up with ambient musician Cousin Silas, the results were a single 50 minute track called `S-P-A-C-E', and it is an unhurried, plodding instrumental spacerock piece with plenty of rising/falling keyboards and trippy synth noodling weaving in and out of lengthy shimmering electric guitar soloing. Pretty much a textbook spacerock work in many ways, reminding of both the OSC and Pink Floyd in parts, and it also moves into Berlin School electronic territory in little moments. It can be found here: https://auralfilms.bandcamp.com/album/time-spinners The second album arrived this year entitled `The Great Attractor', this time Hertz pairing up with ambient composer Christian Fiesel (guitars and synths) and experimental/drone/ambient composer Scott Lawlor (synths), and it's a far more experimental work. It's still very much spacerock, but just more abstract, psychedelic and freeform, with plenty of heavy guitar distortion and droning synths. It can be found here: https://auralfilms.bandcamp.com/album/time-spinners-the-great-attractor Both albums are easily still available on both CD and digital download from the above two links. If the PSIKE team decides to evaluate them and they have any further questions, I have both albums and know them very well, so I can help out with extra information if necessary. Thanks!
