The article mentioned that great prog albums that were monstruos sellers at the time are mostly forgotten now. Yet, I wonder how many non-prog albums are really well remembered and selling well now. I think mostly people get to know those pop stars from the 70's from compilation albums and so. Perhaps it's just a niche for prog, but prog fans do seek out the whole albums of the bands that we are interested in.

The old classic rock albums sell well..... even my grandaughter is listening to the Stones, Tull, Zep, Doors, The Who, Grateful dead...etc. but not many are seeking out old prog. Even my daughter and her husband who are in their 30's  are not that up on the old prog things. My son in law wants old electric folk rock like Neil Young, CSNY, Byrds, Buffalo Springfiled, etc.

This is my experience too even if I have converted something like 30 punk rockers to King Crimson. All they really needed was the 'Red' riff. But yeah I still see youngins purchasing Floyd, Stones, Beatles and those old classic rock bands. I have still to witness a Yes or Genesis purchase in real life

Silly you. Prog elves purchase Yes and Genesis at the stroke of midnight, that's why we never see them.

There is as little to say on this one as on the last one. The New York Post is even worse (farther to the right, lesser journalistic quality) than the National Review. It should not surprise anyone that they inveigh against a music genre that has been associated to a pop-cultural milieu that holds beliefs diametrically opposed to that held by the New York Post. And those stage antics are of course a strawman argument - other genres such as glam rock blandly get away with stage antics that were even worse.

*ahem* I, for one, like some glam rock!!  The fusion of glam with prog was rather fun!
