Hello guys.

I followed this website for a long time, but never been active in the forum. PA have been a great place to discover some bands, and i think you guys can help me with this one.
Direct to the point, i need some extreme/experimental prog metal.
I got tired for the casual prog, symphonic, folk and crossover seems to be all the same after listening for half a decade without stop hahaha. (never got tired of VdGG at least)
I've been listening to some heavier pieces in the last couple of years, and i want to get more deeper in this side of music.

Some exemples of bands that i'm looking for

Atheist, Control Denied, Cynic, Death, Disillusion, Edge Of Sanity, Enslaved, A Forest Of Stars, Ihsahn, Kayo Dot (particulary Choirs Of The Eye, Hubardo and the first 3 motW, i know it's avant-prog and sh*t, but i will use as an exemple) Leprous (Contaminate Me is a top 10), Opeth (early albuns), Unexpected, and the list goes on.

I know that u guys have a deep taste in music, and i'm sure you have some nice tracks to show me =D
Please, forgive my spelling and concordance mistakes. English noob here.

Holy sh*t, there's a lot to listen.
I'm making a spotify playlist with every band and every album listed here.
Some tunes i'm already familiar like Negura Bunget, Triptykon, Gojira, Obscura and Naked City.

But for what i listened so far, i liked a lot this band called Ephel Duath, gonna search deeper on them.

Thanks a lot for the recomendations!

Ephel Duath is definitely a great band.

I saw above that you enjoy Atheist, Cynic, and Death. Ad Pestilence (Testimony of the Ancients and Spheres) to that list and the Italian Sadist (album number 2 and 3).

...oh and Guldbamsen mentioned the Norwegian Shining above...you should also check out the Swedish Shining. Maybe begin with the Halmstad album.
