Gem projects... very loosely chosen from the Mike Patton / Trey Spruance / Trevor Dunn universe. No "other" option since they have recorded and can be related to quite a lot of other albums. However, still point out your favorite piece from one of their projects in the comments. I didn't include the self-titled Mr. Bungle album because I thought it would easily win. My vote is for Disco Volante.

I could choose any of them really, I'm a big fan of everything Patton and Dunn (in particular) have done.
I choose: Delìrium Còrdia and Disco Volante. (Tomahawk's debut is a f**king slamming record too!)

Classical music isn't dead, it's more alive than it's ever been. It's just not on MTV.

Too bad Suspended Animation isn't included, it's one of my all-time favorites! But I guess the closest match is the Fantomas self-titled.

I vote for California, my favorite MB. Crazy like the others, but with real songs.

Had to go for Faith No More because I met Mike Bordin last week and he was a very kind man.
(I do prefer Angel Dust to The Real Thing though). Edited by tempest_77 - May 01 2018 at 23:09 |

Bumping this ancient poll with a vote to Melvins - Houdini, even though/because there's no Patton, Spruance or Dunn on that album.

I much prefer Secret Chiefs 3 (and would have voted for either) Book of Horizons and Perichoresis to any of the options in this poll. Book M is pretty great, but California is a near classic.
