Megalomania, Symptom of the Universe and Hole in the Sky. I could not care less for the rest of the album.

Hmmm, I was able to tick the 3 tunes I love. The O.P. does ask for 'Top 3' I guess. I'll never understand how these polls are supposed to work.....

It's a very patchy album in my book but Symptom of the Universe is maybe my favourite Sabbath track ever. If you ever want to know what a tritone sounds like, this is the place to start for the incomparable thrill of an augmented fourth in the hands of Tony Iommi.

I'd have steered them in the direction of the song Black Sabbath from the debut. But Symptom is cool. I love tritones.

LOL .....Just can't fathom why this album gets so much more love here than elsewhere...... it shows the band making a clear step towards a less tight and more straightforward heavy rock style, in detriment of less of those darn unique and dark sounding Iommi's riffs!....... The least voted here is my voted tune haha , the Sabbaths are dam original even when trying a radiofriendly approach ... The Thrill of It All...... such a dam catchy tune!

The overwhelming amount of information on a daily basis restrains people from rewinding the news record archives to refresh their memories...

Yes, you're right. I'd completely forgotten about their 'title' track on the debut

I recall many years ago when most folks were always saying that the first 5 Sabbath albums are the shizz. Then I thought to myself, what about Sabotage ?..........First 6 then. And Dehumanizer and 13. Essential Sabbath.
