That lots a lot more like a playable instrument. Cheers, ALotOfBottle.

Got the GEForce M-Tron VST, it's... OK.

Thing is, Mellotrons are pretty easy to emulate. It amuses me somewhat when people go on about "sampling" and sort of forgetting that the Mellotron played tape loops. Ahemmmmmm.

As for an original, I'd quite happily toast one on a bonfire of accordions.

It's only when a note / chord, goes over the 8 second limit that one says 'hmmm, that's not a real 'tron'

BASSOON!!!!!   One can never have, and there is simply not enough, Bassoon in your prog rock diet.  To counter the daily deficiency of Bassoon in ones musical diet I remember a daily listen of Ut Gret's Ancestor's Tale, which provides 100% of Surgeon General Mad Mick's daily recommended dose of Bassoon.

I love all seventies, analog keyboards, but it´s mellotron from these. But also it can use too much, I think Barcley is a good example (or bad) of that.
