Paradise for Progressive Rock / Symphonic Prog.
Paradise is a Progressive Rock band from Portland, USA.
Paradise is releasing a rock opera entitled Dawn of Paradise.

The double album was produced by Ron Nevison who engineered Quadrophenia, Physical Graffiti, Bad Company, UFO and so much more.

Please, we can't work without full tracks.

Sounds good but we need more info.

Hi .

I listened to this album during last 48 hours. Very good sound and fit to my taste. They are a Prog Rock band and I found some Symphonic Prog elements in their music but I'm not sure about their sub genre.
I'm sure Ivan will talk about it and I wait for his comment about it.

Just checked them

1.- Son of Man: Hard Rock not Prog
2.- Boy and Rhyme: Floydish, reminds me of "Mother" and a bit from Tommy by The Who.
3.- Discovery: Again Tommy inspired
4.- The Proof: Nice ballad...Proggish at the most
5.- E Pluribus Unum: Reminds me STRONGLY of STYX
6.- Mother's Lament: Rock with Prog elements
7.- The Odyssey: Again that Styx sound.
8.- Theme and Variation: AOR Rock (Late 70's blend of Prog and mainstream)
9.- Resolution: Seems like taken from Tommy.

Sorry Symphonic it isn't, I wouldn't recommend them to Crossover...Prog Related at the best.

Sounds as if they had taken parts from Tommy, The Wall and Paradise Theater to make a conceptual album.

Good album anyway.

Iván

Agree, very much a prog-related rock opera with garage elements and strong Styx influence
