No, they can be about relationships but they have to be about the deeper aspects of them and how complicated they are(not the romantic element). The songs "different strings" "open secrets" and "emotion detector" by those guys(^) comes to mind. ;)

Complex music is designed for the human mind not the one socialized into stupidity (I think Messrs Carlin and Zappa, though dead  can put it in more accurate terms than me. Prog, jazz and classical are more intricate and usually not one idea moments.

Thing is, people "think" they have to work at listening to music. This is incorrect. But they don't have to do anything to like audio play dough either. Pap conditions the weak. Thorazine for the non admitted.

I like that post about nerding up on anything, porn drugs usw. I think the point abut nerding is having to use the mind as opposed to not using it which is where the aforementioned (ho ho) come into it.

I do not own, nor have I heard any of those three releases - ergo. I'm not a nerd.
Fair enough.

I mean do you have to be a nerd to like Game of Thrones? Maybe in the beginning but seems mainstream now
Yes, you do have to be a nerd to like Game of Thrones, just as you need to be a nerd to play Dungeons and Dragons. More excepted, but the nerd factor remains.

Lol Nah---at some point the story and drama and sex appeal come thru along with the violence and it becomes a riveting drama for everyone.

Cool chart! But what if you are inept at being obsessive about being intelligent instead of being all three simultaneously? LOL
