Not STRICTLY Prog, but couldn't post that in the General Polls (since that's not about music at all!), so here we go.. Partly just a record for me, to keep a list of inspiring Brazil albums in one place. I own all of these, in its own designated area, simply because they are that special for me.

I couldn't add all of them, so many are omitted (due to the restrictions on a 25-choice poll), though 25 should certainly be enough.

I encourage those that don't recognize the majority of these to visit your record/cd store and pick it up if you see these in the wild. Or, just listen to them on Youtube.. Whatever!! A poll of simply great music should be on Progarchives, it has enough elements/genres/arrangements/moods to appeal to any progger.

I must confess I don't know many of these albums, so no vote from me.

I think that all these albums are 'progressive' in the general context, even Construção, by Chico Buarque.

Considering only the prog-rock scenario I'd go with Depois do Fim, but from the list I voted Clube da Esquina 2 although I know the impact of Clube da Esquina 1 was greater.

Anyway, I miss some albums: Paêbiru (Lula Cortes & Zé Ramalho), Ave Sangria (same), Matita Perê (Jobim) and Tropicália.

EDIT: Máquina Voadora (Ronnie Von, 1970). I recommend to my fellow conterrâneos and all people interested in psych sound.

Since it's a thread about Brazilian (prog)music I inform with a heavy heart that João Kurk, singer of Terreno Baldio, passed away today, age 67. RIP "Gandalf".
