Anybody got any idea who this guy actually is...? His music is certainly pretty decent, but there's no facebook, official website, or any info about him on his YouTube channel. All his other uploads are just barmy YTP creations, but both his bandcamp albums are highly listenable. I did a quick Google search for more info about the guy, but drew a total blank.

^ Well done! All I could find was Joe Bailey the wedding singer!
Mind you, with just five posts in seven years, and only 120 'likes', I guess it's no surprise really that this page didn't feature very prominently in the Google search results I was presented with! Unfortunately the page doesn't give much away in the way of information apart from the fact that Joe was once part of a duo called 'Sygnal' along with guitarist Mike Ince, who were active in 2010 until 2012, it seems, and apparently had material ready for an album called 'Changing Colours', from which this YouTube upload comes: Joe comes from Neston, on the Wirral Peninsula in the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester, UK, and is quite obviously influenced by the legendary Steven Wilson...whom he has met: I wonder if he'll respond if a link to this thread is placed on his timeline, or sent to him in a facebook message?

He actually responded pretty quickly to a link to this thread which was placed on his public musician/band timeline, so there'll be no problem with the biography, should he be approved. Anyhow, he's now on progfreak as well...so all's ready for an evaluation if either team wants to accept the task: http://progfreak.com/Joe-Bailey-169134.html.

Joe has now had some airplay on a major prog Internet radio station (progrock.com). Two tracks from "The End Comes Too Late" were played by Peter O'Neill on his 'Check It Out' show yesterday evening (UK time). The show is available on mixcloud to stream at any time, and Joe's feature starts at the 1:27:37 mark.

He has a third album almost ready for release too, and as mentioned in the show, it is scheduled to be with us in early October. He should be an easy 'yes' for Crossover based on what we have already though. |
