Around 2 or 3, I have a long commute into work that generally takes an hour depending on traffic so that gives me some spare-time to catch up on new music. At home i'm more attentive so can sit down with one of the favorites and not be disturbed.

Same. Always vinyl. Very rarely will I listen to anything on the internet. I'm lucky to have grown up during the seventies and still have all my records. I have a few great compilations that I listen to though. I'll listen to up to 4 or 5 albums on a day when I'm not busy.

I have a lot of time on hands so it's usually 10-12 every day as I rarely watch TV. If I am out I play music via my ipod through the car stereo and when I am walking I have headphones. I always listen to full albums and never use playlists or such. I listen to Prog, Metal & Classic Rock but it all depends on my mood. Probably >50% Prog.

The past few days, I've been listening to that new LCD Soundsystem album, over and over again. Great album, simply really great.

Three albums per day: 2 of progressive/alternative/post/rock/metal and 1 of hard-rock/heavy-metal/classic-rock.  Wink

About 2 per day, or the same album twice. (Or three times. Wink)

Like Logan says, some of my listening ican be somewhat seen as background (meaning, I'm not in front of my hi-fi, but maybe in the next room doing something else (cooking, for ex), but it doesn't mean I'm not listening to it. And I'm a multi-tasker, which means that I usually read (music-related or not) while listening.

mmmhhh!!!....

my distribution is roughly 48/48 between JR/F-jazz and Prog-(related)... the remaining %-age is other stuff (hertzian radio or discovering on YT)

I have very few commercial compilations, but I did do a fair bit of CD-r comps from bands whose albums I was getting rid off, but wanted to keep some tracks.

I listen music on my bicyle, at work and on my bicycle back home.
I have the opportunity to listen to music whenever and whereever I like.
So at least 4 or 5 albums a day.

70's and 60's albums were only 30-45 minutes in length, by the way.

Now that I'm back at school, hopefully 2-4 weekdays, 3-5 weekends. I try to space albums out a bit, treat them like films or novellas rather than background noise, so I almost never get more than 6 in a day. Not sure how some people are getting up to 10 a day... Assuming an average of 40 minutes an album (which is quite generous), that's 400 minutes, or nearly 7 hours of music. This is not intended as criticism, I'm just curious how people find the time.

As someone else mentioned, I try to do one new album a day as well, although it's not a pace I'll likely maintain after 2017.

Probably in the 5 -10 range.

I listen to six to ten albums every day and I have since I retired eleven years ago.
This is a combination of playing my albums and spending a lot of time on YouTube previewing new albums.

Busy with music all day long, but there are many more things sometimes more interesting than listening to an album. So about 2 I guess and defenitely not always full albums. The past weeks I didn't even have school or work, but that doesn't matter lot.

None. Snippets on the Walkman (in shuffle mode, of course).

While working through the week 6-8 (ten hour days) , on weekends 10-12. Using an mp3 player has made it much easier to listen to more music throughout the day.

Sorry, in advance, for any digressions...

Nowadays I only average playing one album every couple of days, and even then it's usually just background music as I work on other things. I used to listen, and I mean really listen, to several albums almost every day, but these days I get more out of listening to podcast discussions. I did a few podcasts years ago, but never got that into listening to podcasts until recently. I need more of a social life to get involved in discussions of interest to me, rather than just listening to others talk about such things. Writing posts doesn't fulfill the same need as actually talking with people in real-time about issues and ideas that I am interested in. It's a Strange thing that I found myself writing at a forum dedicated to music this much, as music is not one of the topics that most interests me. Sure I like listening to music, but I rarely have much to say about it... But that's another topic.
Just a fanboy passin' through.

Seasonal thing for me.

Summer: 1-3/week (full albums; excluding compilation of songs)
Winter: 6-8/day on average (can go as high as 12 on good days).

4-5 albums a day on average. I can basically listen to music all day, every day but if I listen more on one day, I won't feel like listening as much the next.
