That's a harsh thing to say, dissing a whole genre.
There are bands that are unoriginal or predictable, DT and Symphony X imitators, but there are a lot of interesting bands out there, too.

From what I've heard, Sherinian is not interested in post Sherinian Dream Theater so I doubt he'd try to write songs that sound like 2000s Dream Theater. Sherinian's stuff including Planet X sounds nothing like Dream Theater.

I would love another Dream Theater, so I am very excited about the possibility of some magic happening.

Yes, Though I respect them as artists, I don't really care much about their music. I've never been able to get into the Prog Metal genre, so Dream Theater, or any band that comes from them or sounds like them, is not a project that will get me interested.

Hey everyone!

Thought I'd share an awesome interview from Derek Sherinian regarding his new band "Sons of Apollo"

http://www.classicrockrevisited.com/show_interview.php?id=1232

Included in the interview are video links to the band's single and teaser trailer.

Please comment and let me know what you think!

I personally am stoked to see (and hear) the Del Fuvio Bros back at it again! Thumbs Up
