Clutching is Fishrillion's peak. I don't like anything Fish or Marillion have done as much since.

Used to love Misplaced Childhood over everything else they did with Fish, now I'm all about Clutching at Straws.

Does the Market Square Heroes E.P. count ??
For the poll, my fave is Fugazi. I have many fond memories tied to this album from back in the day.

Went with Misplaced Childhood though I would have chosen The Thieving Magpie if it was an option, I much prefer the live Misplaced Childhood over the studio version Wink

Been Script for some years then Misplaced for even longer...switched to Fugazi and now it is Clutching.

All excellent though, very strong 4/4.5 for many I think.

of course, it counts. Feel free to mention any live ones too...I recently bought the 2cd 'Recital of Script' (one of my most played VHS back in the day) and, yeah, it brings back sweeet memories.

Been mostly between Misplaced Childhood and Clutching at Straws. All enjoyable. For most Script songs, I prefer hearing the live versions over the studio ones.

I've been back and forth with all of them (except for Misplaced Childhood). At the moment, Fugazi.

Fugazi>Clutching at Straws=Misplaced Childhood> Script for a Jester's Tear.

But Seasons End is greater than all of them.

I think Marillion if ok---not great but good---I found Misplaced Childhood  their most cohesive album---but I have a few of their others.

Fish era Marillion is the only Marillion for me. I've always been partial to the underdog of the group FUGAZI although all four early albums are excellent!

When I listened to Straws yesterday - first time in over 10 years, easy, I was astounded at just how beautiful it sounded. I obsessed over this album back in the late 80's - early 90's, and my humble LP has just sat there in the crate forever since. Fantastic album, I love Mosley's china cymbal, it has a real 'snap' to it. Love everything about it, really, but the first thingy with Grendel is the winner for me.
