Hello, long time no see.
A new band from Seattle (WA) I've been listening to lately. At first, after few tracks I was sceptical, but as I've listened the entire album (and on repeated listens), it has grown on me. Enough Prog, tongue-in-cheek lyrics, catchy rhythms. As to where to suggest it, probably Xover, but I'm open to other genres too. Here are 4 tracks they have on their webpages: http://geppettosretribution.com/audio.php with first 2 being the strongest. Webpages: http://geppettosretribution.com/index.html Band's own bio:

Hey Marty! Good to see you back on here! Hope you're OK.
Crossover sounds about the only sub that these guys might sneak into to me, but it's a damn fine rock album indeed, so many thanks for the heads up! Here's the link to a full album stream on deezer: http://www.deezer.com/en/album/45418691. And facebook, for those of you that use the site and want to follow the band on there: https://www.facebook.com/geppettosretribution. Added them to progfreak to save the team one small job: http://progfreak.com/Geppetto-s-Retribution-169155.html.

Oh yeah, I'm immortal, nothing seems to get me. I'm working now (4th year), no longer a student and travelling every third day on average, have a fancy new camera, Geocaching as a hobby...
So, thanks for asking and also for the links, they provide a full spectrum to show how Proggy they actually sound. There's something in this band, otherwise it wouldn't attract my attention. Not so much (as in my early Prog days) do nowadays. |
