Two important heavy prog/progressive metal concept albums, very genre defiening and themed albums. Both albums have amazing instrumentation, the bass playing on Generation 13 is among th best ive herd of any band, very creative and the whole atmosphere of this Saga release is unbelievably good. Almost eclectic prog in ways.

DT
Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive
Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.

It's nowhere near my favorite album by Saga, but Generation 13 is far more listenable the excesses offered by SFAM

I love Saga but haven't actually heard this album, so I would have to naturally vote for SFAM....until I hear the Saga album......
Classical music isn't dead, it's more alive than it's ever been. It's just not on MTV.

The Saga album is completely different to anything the band has ever done.

Combining the heavy riffing of recent years with a modern concept similar to maybe Brave by Marillion, they really astonish friend and foe with this album.
It really stands out in their discography. I also like the atmosphere and the use of a lot of vocals and voices to tell the story.
The production is also superb!

I haven't listened to these two albums in quite a while.
I will listen a bit to Generation 13 and get back to vote :)

Metropolis.

But to Icarium's comment, Mindcrime would have been a good addition as well.
Welcome to the middle of the film.

I much prefer Saga normally, but the irritating narrator's voice really turned me off to this album.  DT's one of their better albums.

Both albums seems to be influenced by steam punk aestheics and pulp comics. Of Asimov and Dick inspired sci-fi

I'd vote for that one. Big album back then! Saw them twice on the Empire tour, when they still played all of it.
