Cat Stevens vs Van Morrison

^ Can't speak for others, but in my case partially because Van Morrison did not provide the music for the soundtrack of Harold & Maude (I adore that film).

I've never heard anything by Van Morrison that I like nearly as much as "Trouble" or various of Stevens' songs off his early albums. Part of it is association for me. My wife adored his version of "Morning Has Broken" and I concurred.

	I do love Astral weeks but overall I'm not a huge Van the man fan! Saw him live at lots of festivals in the early 80's and some shows were fantastic and some rather shambolic (but he always had a cracking backing band) Mona bone jakon and Tea for the Tillerman are lovely lps though i'm not so keen on the later lps. I love the little flute part by an 18 year old Peter Gabriel on 'Katmandu' I'll go for the Cat.
