Please consider this Canadian prog band from early 1980s to be added to the Archives. Thanks. http://www.theancientstar-song.com/2013/05/third-day-canada/ https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/third-day-t-christian-lp-mega-1982-133306810 https://www.discogs.com/artist/3025150-Third-Day-2 https://www.discogs.com/Third-Day-Third-Day/release/4056470

Hi Vad and welcome to PA
I looked up the band on RYM and the only sticker attached to them was Christian Rock, which basically can mean anything. If you want the symph team to evaluate them though you will have to find some musical material for them to hear ie youtube vids or some form of legal streaming service. It's a long shot hoping any of the members already own this obscure find. Cheers David |

I checked out the vids and can safely say that they won't be included on PA under the Symphonic moniker. What I hear is more akin to slick AOR rock with extended room for soloing.
They may just have the slightest of chance in Neo but I wouldn't get my hopes up. Anyway I am forwarding this suggestion to the Neo team |

I don't think the thread creator knows how PA works, no offense.
Symphonic prog? really? These guys are just good melodic hard rock, very good guitar work, but that's pretty much it. They can't be added as neo, either, there's nothing remotely neo-prog about them.

Their compositions certainly contain progressive rock elements that's for sure. Improvisations? - yes, Time/dimensioning changes? - yes, Jazz-rock/Fusion elements/influences? - a lot, Structural symphonic arrangements? - yes, Synth guitar application? - yes. Thank you.

The only track that sounds progressive from these 4 tracks is 'It's a New Day'. Their drumming sounds very basic with a simple beat. More in-line to earlier pop music.
Have not heard any more tracks from this band.

That's another problem for those who is trying to evaluate the style without having a chance to hear the whole album. There are 4 more tracks in this album. I will try to find the missing files to submit them here.
Thanks.
