I really like a lot of songs on Animals, but Tarkus is more of a work. So I go with Tarkus.

Animals very easily. I love the whole álbum, while the only one I really love on Tarkus is the title song... and then not even the whole song, for it's got some rather annoying sections. And if it's a matter of epic vs epic, I do love Dogs much more than Tarkus.

I love Dogs from Animals and that's about it, whereas I love most of Tarkus, so ELP wins it for me.

Both are my fav albums from that respective bands, still little more attached on Animals, but Tarkus follow closely

I prefer the title track of Tarkus over anything on Animals, but I prefer Animals by far over side 2 of Tarkus.

Animals.
I like the whole Animals album, but only like the Tarkus suite on the ELP album. The rest of the album is weak IMO.

Animals got my vote, I love Tarkus, but Animals is one of my favorite albums, I was in high school when I first listened to it and it never got old.

Another hard choice. I'm not really sure how to vote. Today I could vote for animals, tomorrow for Tarkus, or it could be the other way around. I think I'll wait on this one.

although Tarkus is annoying in places it has a fun exuberance ----Animals is a snooze fest in places---they are both on my B list of prog.

Love them both - probably both would occupy my Top 25. Unlike others here, I really enjoy Side Two of Tarkus. That, combined with the perfection of Side One, causes my vote to go for ELP.
