sorry to ask, but as someone mentioned some place having a preference for Genesis' s/t album to yes's 90125, gave me the idea for a poll.

Sorry if this has been done before, but now I'm curious. :))

Yes is the winner for me. :)

I feel like this is the last U.S. election all over again. All the choices suck and there's no option for "none of the above."

oh my god, I'm sorry my poll reminded you of the US elections, it was never my intention.

I get it, a lot of people don't like these two albums.

The Yes offering is a pretty good pop-rock album imo but Shapes I love. So yeah Genesis.

90125 gets my vote. It's an excellent album. Among their best IMO. 5 stars.

The Genesis album is ok in parts. 3 stars.

Yeah, both are forgettable and don't really make it for me. "None of the above" would be the best selection.

pretty much this---although 90125 sounds very dated to me---shapes is weird it has a perfect album side and then a second side that is a mixed bag----but still Genesis.

90215(though I prefer Big Generator). Shapes has a great first side, but I am not crazy about the second side of the album.

I love shapes as well, I guess I should call it a guilty pleasure considering how much it's slammed but no guilt here. Listening to it always brings back such good memories of a different time in my life.

I am leaning slight more toward shapes today.  Both are equally enjoyable for me.

Very little to like on these albums for me.  I'll give the vote to Yes though as 90125 was at least an interesting twist on their legacy and showed some renewed energy, while 'Shapes' just continued the long slow genesis slide to prog hell...

I think 90125 is a pretty decent album for what it is. Post-Hackett Genesis has only had limited appeal for me.

I think both are good but also both haven't worn so well with time and neither really represents what the band were all about or what most current fans of those bands like about them. I voted for 90210 (as many including myself like to jokingly call it). LOL

Both albums are pretty good (maybe not in the context of the catalogs of these bands, but surely in the context of that barren period), but 90125 is the better of these two.

Being long time Genesis fan, but this time it's Yes 90125 record which wins. It's not the Yes we knew, but it wasn't so bad too. For me its sound doesn't seem to be dated. It's different, I always thought about it as "polished Yes" for masses.
