How many Prog bands or Prog artists do you know that made soundtracks or participated in movies.

So many good movie soundtracks out there!....Smile

Pink Floyd (so obvious no one has mentioned it yet). 
Trevor Rabin (ditto)

Maybe not really prog but also Mark Isham and Danny Elfman(formerly of Oingo Boingo).

As far as participated(as in acting) in movies the only one I can think of is Phil Collins (not counting musicians in concert films or whatever) unless we can count David Bowie.

Tony Banks & Mike Rutherford composed the soundtrack to the 1978 film 'The Shout' starring Alan Bates and Susannah York. The central theme "From the Undertow" features on 'A Curious Feeling'.

Anthony Phillips has made quite a lot of music for TV. Don't know about movies though.

Music from Wakeman's Arthur album should have been used on a film about his (Arthur's) legends. I guess Journey to the Center of the Earth might work for a film very nicely too.
