Topic: AeonSatori for symphonic prog Posted: October 24 2017 at 07:03 |
I must admit, AeonSatori is one of my major discoveries for some last years. Their music provides an utterly enthralling journey with introspective themes, lots of tempo changes, epic grandeur of the compositions, variety of melodies, the thought provoking lyrics and gorgeous vocal parts. This LA-based group recreates a flavour of classic symphonic prog-rock style, albeit showcasing distinctly original trademark.

Plans are already underway for the first full-length album, which will incorporate the previously laid foundation, rearranged songs from their previous EP's, along with the new material...

Well. Do you really think that Yes (circa 'Drama'), Genesis, Kansas, Barclay James Harvest and IQ should be labelled as 'crossover' type? All of mentioned influences can be found on the AeonSatori stuff.

Listened to their EP (Epic Prog) and felt they can be fit for Neo.
We Neo Team should wait for their debut full-length album.

You can find Genesis, Kansas and Barclay James Harvest in Boston, but that doesn't make them a Prog band.
Almost every Neo Prog band is influenced in Genesis, but they are not Symphonic.

This band has clearly defining characteristics of “symphonic prog”.... possibly listen to their epic composition titled “Sunlight” in its glorious entirety to hear the proof. Not many prog bands doing this sort of things these days so feel free to be amazed as I am ;) I really hope this band catches some attention by our members here! Http://www.bandcamp.aeonsatori.com
