You don't like Moving Pictures and you don't like Hemispheres. Are you sure you're a Rush fan? Confused

I was thinking the same. For me, Hemisphers is their only album without any weak tracks whatsoever. As far as Rush goes it's a masterpiece.
Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

Although the second side of 2112 is not even near of the greatness of first side, still I love this album much more than Moving. Moving is of course also great, but they´re already on the way to the more conventional style...Best Rush to me is those one side masterpieces.

Stylistically they're never going to be my favourite but I like bits and pieces. I think the two albums in question are very risk-free musically and lyrically immature. Generally I'm fonder of the early quasi-Zeppelin stuff, particularly Caress of Steel though Permanent Waves is a great album. The longevity is quite impressive.

Caress is an underrated gem and Waves speaks for itself. Thumbs Up

I could go either way here.

2112 was my first Rush album  and the title track is amazingly awesome

MP is more consistent and also great.

voted 2112 to show it some love.

2112 for both the music and the message/lyrics...then the guys became rich and started rooting for the elite. XD
Jokes aside, MP is a really good album, but 70s Rush was a better band.
Two random guys agreed to shake hands. Just Because. They felt like it, you know. It was an agreement of sorts...a random agreement.

Moving Pictures, all the way. They were in top form with gems like "Limelight," "Vital Signs," and "The Camera Eye."

When it came to streamlined hard rockin' prog, they had no competition at the time.

Moving Pictures by a clear margin - despite Side 1 of 2112 being a classic! A much more consistent album. 2112 not quite there on Side 2, although Witch Hunt on Moving Pictures dips the album slightly - although still quality stuff.

This^  And MP has one of my fave Rush songs with Witch Hunt.  Easy choice for me.

Moving Pictures. MP has some of my all time favorite Rush songs on it. I appreciate the importance of 2112 in the history of the band and I do like it. I just don't love it like most Rush fans do.

Moving Pictures for me. Strong album all the way through. ( Didn't even realize , I'm listening to Tom Sawyer as I'm typing this) I'm a big Rush fan but I don't love 2112 as much as most people.
The opening section of the title track is amazing however.

The first side of 2112 is better than anything off either, but Moving Pictures is better as a whole.  Tough poll, my two favorite Rush albums.

Moving Pictures is one of the twin peaks in their long career.
