Tim Hart and Mandy Prior - Heyday
A thorough compendium of earlier acoustic folk tracks from these two great Steeleye Span stalwarts: earthy, real, simple, wonderful stuff. The musical equivalent of a tasty real ale in an earthenware mug! |

Come to my arms, my beamish boy! O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!' He chortled in his joy. |

In fact, the instrumental atmosphere of the first track, sounds like it's actually raining. I would like to experience that too.

^^Yup, also my favorite Can album. I also remember my first listen to it, walking around on vacation on a rainy day. It really sounds like the most wonderful dream you can possibly have.

Yes, fabulous drumming from "wunderkind" Liebezeit! Such a dream-like, trippy, UNIQUE album! I can still recall how powerful and engrossing my first listen was, lying on my bed in the dark with headphones on, so many years ago! Future days long past.... Thanks for inspiring me to get the CD out again. I think it was the first album I ever reviewed here (back when the site was new), if you are interested. |
