Wow I became a hard core XTC with English Settlement (1982). My fellow fans were bummed like I was when we didn't get new albums after Nonsvch 1991 looked like it was their last. They pretty much defined the '80's for me. And then in 1989 they went into the studio and came up with this gem. They's only hang on for one more album and released an album of their studio preliminaries for this one. Apple Venus Volume 1. Recorded 1998 Jan.-Aug. Kind of odd that this one would come up just before this year's easter.

Aww hell I should have played this one first. It's Homespun - a collection of demos for Apple Venus Vol. 1 and not the final version. Recorded 1998 Jan.-Aug.

Not as good as the original. The original was one of the first prog albums I had in my collection and I still have the original LP. I kinda prefer the instrumental Rick did later. I think it's coming up  Anyhoo. Recorded 1998 Mar.-Dec.
