I don't know even half of them but Bubu is hard to beat. I'm delighted by the love that Ammerland gets. It's a true beauty but I thought hardly anyone would know it.

There are "random" parts I guess, but they happen to sound OK (one can still get the feeling of hearing sequences of chords with their particular identities and meanings)
The funny thing is, when musicians find a way to express negativity, they feel very good about it "Ah what a powerful dark crazy emotion we've managed to render !!"

Island, Pulsar, Shylock, Ange, Arachnoid but I'm yet to link (a part of) an album from that list to an intense experience, so even if I've checked the unknown ones my votes are a tad cheap.

Benoît Widemann's Stress would be welcome here

Well from reading your posts it looks to me that you vastly prefer melodic neo/symph stuff so maybe it isn't too surprising that Anabelas isn't for you.
Cool that you listened to it before casting judgement.

I like most genres of prog except for metal.

I've listened to most here, that's listed, either via Youtube or I own the album or band concerned.   The ones that interest me are Fuhrs and Frohling, Epidaurus and Atmosphera..  One band I cannot find that's listed is Dice - Dice

Big smile

Tough choice, especially with 2 Mona Lisas & an Ange.  I went with Monsieur Gregoire because I'm especially fond of that.  It's nice to see Anabelas getting so much love!

Babylon, Cathedral, Ange, Mona Lisa, England, and Anabelas, in that order.

The self-titled album doesn't appear to be on youtube at the moment but the equally good Four Riders of the Apocalypse is --
