List prog that is themed around winter and snow, blizzard and ice; frost bite and hypothermia.

Let the winter be rememberd for its icy hold.

Kate's 50 Words for Snow album

anything by the Finnish band Tenhi makes me shiver like I'm freezing

Sigur Rós music could incur feelings of hypothermia cuz it feels like it's from outer space

October Equus - Permafrost. Instrumental concept album about the Franklin expedition to find the Northwest Passage. Ships became trapped in ice, everybody died. Not really a party album.

Uzva - Tammela In January. Instrumental concept album about being in Tammela, Finland and it being January. Judging by the music after a day in the snow one comes home to a big fire and enjoys warming alcohol with cheery companions.

I feel more chilled listening to my choice, Steve. Even though Mother Russia mentions "Frozen days," "Cold as ice," "frozen to the snow," "white snow," "frozen rivers," and "So cold," it comes off more the cold war anthem than anything else. Oops, there's that word "cold" again.
